This month I ran a marathon.
Well, a section of it.
Och, ok – a mere 5.5 miles of it! Still, it was great fun and a personal achievement, plus I got a tshirt to prove it. Yay! Well done to our relay team and all the other bods who took part in EMF 2017. Hats off to anyone who runs, like, ever, for more than an hour at a time…
Family T went for the long weekend to Arisaig – an absolutely beautiful part of the world. The lodge we stayed in was steeped in history – Bonnie Prince Charlie took refuge in the place hundreds of years ago. Despite the weather, 10 adults and 6 lads chased some cows, played games, ate a bit too much, drank a little more than was sensible, played ping pong, poked sticks in rivers, invented Track Stand Darts, took a picnic to the white sands in the rain, and generally had a whale of a time!
Meantime, on the Family D side, celebrations were had for T & J’s wedding in Harrogate. Fantastic weather, lots of men in kilts plus the unexpected backdrop of a whole bunch of shiny trucks displayed as part of Truck Ex! Looking forward to the next Family D wedding at the end of the month too in bonnie Ayr. #needadifferentdress
And, if anyone’s got any spare Lego cards, please ping ’em our way… despite a ridiculous collection, think we’re still missing a few…
